Dorothy L. Glavin, age 83 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Saturday, February 11, 2006, at St. Marys Health Center. Mrs. Glavin was born March 3, 1922, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Charles L. and Lillian C. Sommers Maze, both deceased. She was married to Vernon E. Glavin, who preceded her in death in November, 1972. A homemaker, Mrs. Glavin was a life long resident of the Jefferson City area. Survivors include: three sons: Richard Glavin and his wife Nancy of St. Peters, Mo., John Glavin and his wife Carol of Jefferson City, Mo. and Michael Glavin and his wife Midge of Holts Summit, Mo.; two daughters: Mary Sumpter of Chamois, Mo. and Theresa Glavin of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters: Barbara Avery of Warrenton, Mo. and Evelyn Wehmeyer of Grove Springs, Mo. two brothers: Thomas Boehm of Washington, Mo. and Kenneth Boehm of Madison, Ohio; 11 grandchildren: Cheryl Weissenbach, Roy Weissenbach, Dennis Glavin, Robert Glavin, Shane Glavin, Patrick Glavin, Christopher Schrimpf, Midge Ann Glavin, Monica Glavin, Michael Glavin, and Morgan Glavin; three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Weissenbach, two grandchildren, John Glavin and Tina Glavin, one brother, Samuel Boehm, and one sister, Myrtle Kuebler. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at the Calvary Assembly of God Church with the Reverend Herbert Albright officiating. Private graveside services and interment will be at the Portland Cemetery, Portland, Mo. Visitation will be at the Calvary Assembly of God Church from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
