Mrs. Johanna Fox Expires at Home of Daughter Saturday
HOMER – Mrs. Johanna Fox, 92, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Michael Costello, 5 Warren Street following a long period of failing health Saturday afternoon, Dec 8, 1945.
She was born June 6, 1853 in the town of Homer, daughter of Cornelius and Mary Halloran Daley. She had lived most of her life in Preble, coming to Homer a few years ago to make her home with her daughter.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edward O’Connor of Tully, Mrs. Katherine Stevens of Syracuse and Mrs. Costello of Homer; one son, Frank Fox of Preble, and a brother Cornelius Daley of Syracuse.
Funeral services will be held from the Costello home at 5 Warren Street, Tuesday at 9 a.m. and from St Margaret’s Church, Homer, at 9:30. Burial will be made in St Mary’s Cemetery in Cortland.
