Edna Elnora (Wood) Colbry Duncan was born September 28th, 1921 at Alma, Montana. She was one of nine children born to Jacob Earl Wood and Bertha Claire Wilson. Edna was raised in Joplin & Moise, MT and receiver her formal education at Joplin & Charlo.

She married George Colbry on September 18th, 1939. They made their home on the Colbry farm north of Chester where they raised a family of five. Edna loved her life as a farm wife, homemaker, and mother. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church & the Ladies Aid, the Bears Den Home Demonstration Club and she served as a 4-H leader. The Colbrys enjoyed dancing, bowling, snowmobiling , playing cards, and trip to Alaska & Haiti.

They retired in 1968 and moved to Table Bay Resort at Rollins, MT. In the summer months they helped run the resort and enjoyed boating & fishing on Flathead Lake. In fact, they helped organize the Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit to promote safe boating & recreation on the lake. Edna enjoyed her membership in the Lakeside Community Club and attended church at Eidsvold Lutheran in Somers.
During the winter months they lived in Mesa, AZ and enjoyed travelling around the country in their 5th wheel trailer. They served as volunteers in sorting books at the Arizona State Library for the Blind & Handicapped. Edna became an associate member at Victory Lutheran during their time in Mesa. She also became an avid fan of the Phoenix Suns basketball team.

The Colbrys were married 49 years when George passed away in 1988. Edna moved to Kalispell and eventually began dating a former friend & widower, Robert Duncan; they were married on September 26th, 1998. They made their homes in Lakeside & Mesa. The couple enjoyed travelling and made several memorable trip to Alaska & Ireland. They appreciated seven fun years together before Robert's death in 2005. Edna was fortunate to maintain relatively good health into her 90's, so she continued to travel between Lakeside & Mesa. Recently her health declined. Still, she continued to live at home in Lakeside where she received personal & loving care from her family & hospice nurses until her death. Edna passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon (July 25th, 2015) at the age of 93.

In her younger years she enjoyed embroidery. In later years she liked to read, especially Christian romance novels & historicals. Edna was an excellent cook; her family will never forget her delicious pies & sweet rolls! She was the proverbial "hostess" who loved to entertain family & friends and challenge them in table games (and more often than not, she was the winner). When she wasn't the actual hostess at family functions, she was always the "lady behind the scenes". Edna was thrilled to meet her two newest great-grandchildren on this past Memorial Day weekend. She will forever be remembered as loving wife, mother & grandmother.

She was preceded in death not only by parents and husbands, but also by 2 sisters (Hazel Gacioch & Nan Ora Eldridge), 5 brothers (Carl (Bill", Tommy, Charles, Forrest, "Pork", & Lewis Wood) and 2 sons-in-law (Roy Lincoln & Loren Larson).

She is survived by three daughters, April (Ken) Rygh of Mesa, Arizona; Mable (Roger) Lincoln of Gildford, Montana; and Fern Lincoln Larson of Mount Vernon, Washington; two sons, Earl (Shirley) Colbry of Chester and Roger (Suzie) Colbry of Boise, Idaho; 17 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren; ex-daughter-in-law Lynda Colbry of Portland, OR; brother, Harold "Nick" (Eva) Wood of Polson, sister-in-law Mildred Wood of Boise, ID; brother-in-law Norman "Bunk" Eldridge of Plains; and numerous nieces & Nephews.
