Louis G. 'Lou Lou' Arcaro 85, of Franklin, died Monday January 23, 2012 at Norwood Hospital following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Louise (Carfagnini) Arcaro. Born September 1, 1926 in Franklin, a son of the late Antonio N. & Erminia (Lozzi) Arcaro, he had been a lifelong resident of Franklin.

He was educated in Franklin schools, and was a graduate of Wentworth Institute in Boston. A retired contractor, he was the owner of A. Arcaro & Sons, a company that built schools, bridges and railroads in the New England area. Mr. Arcaro was the patriarch of his family; he enjoyed tending to his garden, making homemade wine, and caring for his hot peppers. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and also treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Council Knights of Columbus, Franklin, was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and was a former member of its choir.

In addition to his wife of 49 years he is survived by a son, Anthony L. Arcaro and his wife Teresa of Franklin, a daughter Lisa M. Kerr and her husband Donald of Franklin, 2 sisters D. Jennie Arcaro and Lucy Negrone and her husband Gene all of Franklin. Also surviving are his grandchildren Matthew & Zachary Arcaro, and Stephen, Sarah, and Scott Kerr. He is the brother of the late Angelo & Mario Arcaro, and Florence Colace.
