Wendy E. Becker
MANCHESTER — Wendy E. (Oleson) Becker, 61, of Manchester and originally from Berlin, passed away on June 28, 2015, at the Elliot Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Jan. 2, 1954, daughter of the late Edward and Signe (Olson) Oleson.
Beloved wife of Michael E. Becker; loving mother of Laurie Laizure of Manchester and Edward Chambers of Gilford; loving stepmother of Mara Witt, Karl Becker and Tory Becker, all of Manchester; dear grandma of four grandchildren, Isabelle Laizure, Edward J. Chambers, Hunter Chambers and Brooke Chambers, and eight step-grandchildren, Lucy Witt, Stella Witt, Gigi Witt, Cooper Becker, Parker Becker, Amelia Becker, Ava Becker and Alex Becker. Wendy is also survived by her former husband, Donald Chambers, of Alton; cousins, stepfamily and many friends.
Wendy was a graduate of New Hampshire College (now SNHU) and had a distinguished career in the field of Manufacturing Materials Management and worked for New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Chemfab (Saint Gobain Performance Plastics) of Merrimack, Moore Business Forms, EFI Vutek of Meredith, and Meggitt Avionics of Irvine, Calif. She was a member of several professional associations, including APICS.
Wendy enjoyed traveling, especially to southern Europe, listening to a wide variety of music and enjoyed gourmet healthy foods. She was very close to all her grandchildren.
SERVICES: Family and friends will honor and remember Wendy’s life by gathering for a celebration of life at the Puritan Backroom Conference Center, 245 Hooksett Road, Manchester, on Saturday, August 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. A private burial will take place at a later date in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in her name to the following: Myelodysplastic Syndrome Foundation (www. mds-foundation.org), Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
