Charles Raymond "Charlie" Wilhelm, 82, of Munroe Falls, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Charlie was born in Layton, and was preceded in death by his grandma, Bessie Ryan; and uncle, Doc Ryan; parents, Frank and Agnes; brother, Dan; and son, Craig Livingston. He graduated from Frazier High School, playing high school sports year-round. In service to his country, Charlie enlisted in the Air Force, serving from 1953 to 1957. Charlie married the love of his life, Margie, in 1962, and then moved to Northeast Ohio. Charlie began working at the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, Ohio, retiring 30 years later as a journeyman millwright. After retirement, Charlie enjoyed 17 years of playing softball with the Silver League of Akron. In addition, Charlie's love of sports was reflected in his loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. Weekday mornings, Charlie could be found enjoying a cup of decaf coffee with his friends. A tradition that began at Krispy Kreme, moved to McDonalds and settled at Arby's. Charlie is survived by his wife, Margie, of 52 years; daughters, Jan Keith, Sheryl (Sandy) Trado and Kim Hurst; grandchildren, Michelle (Duane) Morris, Marcia Roberts, Nate Mealy, Alli (Sherman) Smith, Shane Hurst and Zach Hurst; six great-grandchildren; nephew, Randy; and niece, Jodi. Friends are invited for visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday to the REDMON FUNERAL HOME, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Victory Life Church, 3833 Hudson Dr., Stow OH 44224, where service will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Matthew Skifstad will conduct the service. Interment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis.
