She attended White Lake High School.
Mrs. Farrand had a great sense of humor and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cross-stitching. She was modest of her great talents. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle (Jim) Theiler, Wausau; a son, Terry (Tami) Farrand, Byron, IL; a brother, Lawrence (Cleo) Adkins, Antigo; six grandchildren, Turner and Taryn Farrand, Kacy and Scot Wickersheim, Jordan and Megan Theiler; three great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Gail, Elton.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wilburn, James, Edward and Roy; and two sisters, Jannett Adkins and Phoebe Whitt.
According to Mrs. Farrand's wishes a graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Elton Cemetery with Reverend Marvin Kindle officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the cancer research foundation of the donor's choice.
