Funeral services for Willard Stewart “Bill” Schipper, 88, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Cyprians Episcopal Church with Reverend Ralph Morgan officiating. Military honors will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Schipper was born March 26, 1927 in Valley Springs, South Dakota and died Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Pine Crest Retirement Community in Lufkin.

Mr. Schipper had resided in Lufkin for over 34 years. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and World War II. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Federal Auditor.

Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Brookshire of Clarence Center, New York; grandson, Chris Stewart Cole of Marfa; granddaughter, Sallye NeGron and husband Larry of Clarence Center, New York; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Logan, and Allinee NeGron; step-daughter, Nancy Farmer of Oskaloosa, Kansas; step-granddaughter, Amy Thompson of Burlingame, Kansas; step-grandsons, Darrin Farmer and Eric Farmer both of Oskaloosa, Kansas; step-grandchildren, Lakin and Jake Thompson and Bailee, Jaxon, Bristol, and Brooklynn Farmer; step-daughter-in-law, Kitty Thomason; step-great-grandchildren, Christina Fredregill and Dana Massey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wives, Frances (Jones) Schipper and Irma Schipper.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Cyprians Episcopal Church, 919 S John Redditt Dr, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to service at the church.
