A son of the late George Daniel and Garie Grainger Carroll. Husband of the late Bessie "Betty" Carter Carroll. Mr. Carroll was a US Air-Force Veteran serving for 22 years. Mr. Carroll served during World War II in England. He was among the last personal to leave Myrtle Beach Air Force Base during the closing after WW II, and also was in one of the first squadrons to return to re-open the Base in 1954.
Mr. Carroll was was an avid fisherman, hunter, recycler, and gardner. He was a life long member of Gall Hunting Club.
