In 1960 she married Howard Gackle and moved to the ranch in Brockway were they couple raised six children. She had a large garden and raised orphaned calves, lambs and other animals. Quilting, embroidery, jewelry, photography and craft shows were hobbies, as were outdoor activities. She taught crafts to the blind six years. Mrs Gackle was also musically talented.
Mrs Gackle, 65, died April 27, 2002 at a Billings Hospital. Survivors include her husband, three sons, Howard G Gackle and Tracy Gackle, Brockway, and David (Debi) Gackle, Miles City; three daughters, Janice Gackle, Miles City, Patricia (Robert) Deese, and Christel (Pat) Denardo, Billings; her mother, Thelma Nagle; a sister, Sharon Tamsovitch, Hamilton; and 14 grandchildren.
