Martha Henrietta Wegner, daughter John & Henrietta (Herbst) Wills, was born on November 15, 1913 in Butler, PA. She grew up in Chicago, IL and on August 8, 1931 was married to Peter F. Wegner in Crown Point, IN.

Marty and Pete resided all their married life in Winamac, IN where they farmed corn and soybeans. They raised three children: a daughter Betty and two sons Joe and Don. In addition to being a homemaker, Marty was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers Ladies of Charity, the Bunco Club, and the Not So Young Club.

Marty Wegner passed away at her home on April 5, 1993 at the age of 79 and is buried at St. Peters Cemetery in Winamac. Survivors include her husband Peter Wegner; daughter Betty Parcel (Winamac); sons Joe (Kewanna) and Don (Winamac); sisters Ann Stone (Florida) and Clara Worley (Sauk Village, IL); brother Clarence Wills (Chicago); 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
