Carl Wills, oldest son of John and Henrietta (Herbst) Wills, was born July 31, 1906 in Butler, PA. He moved to Chicago, IL with the family in 1924. Carl married Jeannette Slawinski in Chicago on October 23, 1933, and their daughter Dolores was born about 1937.

They resided in Chicago for the remainder of their lives. Carl was employed by the Republic Steel Company for many years. He died on September 1, 1949 at the age of 43 and is laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery in Chicago, IL. Survivors include his wife Jeannette; daughter Dolores; brothers Henry, Ferdinand and Clarence; sisters Anna, Martha, Emma and Clara.
