Mrs. Gladys Marie (Yannes) Klinger, 78, R.D. 3, Drums died Sunday at the Hazleton General Hospital where she had been a patient the past two weeks.
She was born in Ellamar, Alaska, daughter of the late William and Zamariah (Cartwright) Yannes, and lived most of her life in Drums.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Johns.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Otto Yannes; and two sisters, Violetta Bianco and Mildred Fioretta.
Surviving are her husband, Carl R., Drums; two sons, Donald C. and David C., both of Drums; two brothers, Robert Yannes, Drums, and Don Yannes, Coral Springs, Fla.; two sister, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Benninger, Drums, and Mrs. Florence Kryzak, Hazleton; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Johns, with the Rev. Joseph Scholtes, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 and Wednesday morning from 8 until time of service.
Donations may be made to the memorial fund of the St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Johns.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, Hazleton.
