Patsy Ann "Pat" (Stamper) Berry was born on October 7, 1928 in Austin, Texas, the daughter of James William Stamper (1903-1942) and his wife Irene (Patterson) (Stamper) Keelen (1908-1958).

She grew up in Fort Worth and attended Ward Belmont Junior College in Nashville, Tennessee where she was elected to the Phi Theta Kappa Honorary Society. Then on a First Presbyterian Church outing for Ward Belmont ladies, she met Allen Douglas Berry Jr (1923-2015) and on January 4, 1947 they were married in Fort Worth, Texas. She spent the next 11 years in Nashville until she and her husband purchased a farm in Williamson County, where she lived the rest of her life.

She and her husband were members of the First Presbyterian Church of Nashville where, for many years, they were active in Sunday School classes and activities for young adults. Pat was a member of the Junior League of Nashville where she did considerable volunteer work. She also worked several years with the American Red Cross Blood Bank and many other charitable and humane organizations.

She belonged to the Children of the American Revolution, was a charter member of the Brook Meade Garden Club of Nashville, and was a member of the Town and Country Garden Club of Franklin.

Over the years, she and her husband also traveled extensively in the United States and abroad. Pat's other interests were all types of crafts, including needlepoint work and sewing (she made at least 75 quilts); and she enjoyed cooking, both home-style and gourmet. For years, she enjoyed watching and feeding wild birds.

Ever the devoted wife and mother, she was most helpful in her husband's projects and business activities, especially helpful with the many facets of Berry Wholesale Drug Company. And she gave time for many years to all of her sons' interests, from Cub Scouts through college years. When her three sons became interested in horseback riding, she learned quickly about horses, and helped them develop their skills in the Middle Tennessee Pony Club. They became very good riders and acquired an interest and love of horses, which was carried forward.

She always liked to visit Florida, and also frequently visited the mountains of East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. She was especially elated over her second residence in south Florida, and enjoyed it for 28 years.

Pat passed away on October 22, 2012 at home on Berrywood Farm out of Franklin, Tennessee.

Survivors included her husband; three sons; eight grandchildren; and other family members in Texas.

Graveside Services were held in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.
