Ava Watts, 81, Topeka, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in a Overbrook nursing home. She was born on January 28, 1934 at Agricola, KS, the daughter of Clarence and Ella Cook Greenfield.
Mrs. Watts loved sewing, baking, garage sales and visiting with friends.
Ava married Flave Watts Jr. May 5, 1951 at Ottawa, KS. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1989.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Althea Moon, Verla Caldwell, Ella Porter, and a brother, Albert Greenfield.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin F. (Connie) Watts, Topeka, KS; Randy W. (Janet) Watts, Scranton, KS; four grandsons, Warren F. Watts, Topeka, KS; Jeremy (Stephanie) Watts, Topeka, KS; Todd (Jessica) Watts, Vassar, KS; Matthew (Katlin) Watts, Topeka, KS; one granddaughter, Kelsey Watts, Topeka, KS; and a great-granddaughter, Malea Watts, Topeka, KS.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 27, 2015 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Topeka, KS. Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame, KS, where the family will greet friends and relatives from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brookside Activity Fund and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.
