Son of Hugh JUNKINS and Anne McCULLOUGH. First married to Rebecka McCLAIN who died in 1873. Married Jennie KANE in Pittsburgh, 6 January 1874. Father of Agnes, Tessie, Clara, Charlotte, Marie, Will, Gertrude, and infant Kitty.

Obituary:
Seward, Aug. 18 - William Junkins, of near Seward, passed away Wednesday night of last week at his home in Indiana County. "Captain" Junkins was a veteran of the Civil War. He was 73 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. E.E. Briggs, Mrs. A.W. Kinsey, Mrs. E. Wakefield, all of Seward; Marie and William, at home. Funeral services were held at the Seward Roman Catholic Church on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery near New Florence.
