Stanley served as a Technical Sergeant on B-24J (#42-51882), 826th Bomber Squadron, 484th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Kings County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on January 23, 1941, prior to the war, in New York City, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Sales clerk and also as Single, without dependents.

Stanley was "Killed In Action" when his B-24 was hit by enemy flak and crashed in Italy during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

He is interred somewhere in New York.

Son of Joseph and Minnie Frankel.
