Dana Grant Wells, 49, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 30, 2015, at his home in Savannah.

Born and raised in Savannah, he was a graduate of Beach High School, and a professional bagpiper. He played his bagpipes at events in South Carolina, Savannah, and throughout the southeast, including the Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade every year. When he was younger, he traveled to bagpipe competitions.

Dana was preceded in death by his mother, Irma Todd Salazar.

Survivors include his father, Doyle Wells of Hinesville; brother, Deven Wells of Hinesville; nephew, Brandon Wells of Savannah; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be 1-2:30 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel at 2:30 p.m. with the Reverend Johnny Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Hinesville Cemetery.
