During the Depression many families from Williamsburg County moved to Lancaster, SC, to work in textile mills. For a generation or two, their bodies were shipped to Williamsburg for burial. On this death certificate, Andrews for place of burial may be generic for the nearest town to Spring Pond Cemetery, or it might mean that Andrews was the depot of destination for the body. Usually bodies were returned by train.
