Amos J. "Mac" MacCreery, Jr. 78, of West O'Reilly Street Kingston died Saturday March 23, 2013 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. Born in Kingston on October 10, 1934 he was the son of the late Amos J. Sr. and Abigail (Palas) MacCreery Winne.

Mac graduated Kingston High School in 1952. He was a United State Navy Seabee, serving post Korean War. He was best known for his own mechanic shop, "Macs" Garage. He was also employed as a mechanic for the City of Kingston and for local auto dealerships and garages. He was a charter member of the Island X-9 Seabees and a volunteer during the restoration of the Kingston Point Park.

Surviving is his wife of fifty five years, five children, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

His sister, Sallie Abbie died previously.
