Terence Leigh "Terry" Conner

A much-loved, father, grandfather, son and brother, Terence (Terry) Leigh Conner 55, of Seaside, Oregon, passed away peacefully at his home October 18 2012. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer. He was born July 5, 1957 in Seattle, Washington, and resided in Seaside, for the past 24 years, having moved from Beaverton in 1985 to accept a position as office manager for Sundial Special Vacations. He graduated from Astoria High School in 1976 and received his BA from Oregon State University in 1980 and was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity.

Terry was a member of the Seaside Elks and the Astoria Golf and Country Club. Terry loved golf and his golfing buddies. His keen eye to spot simple improvements for your golf swing and sense of humor insured he was never without a foursome.

Terry's hobby, passion and profession were dedicated to travel for developmentally disabled adults. His joy was arranging and escorting "his guests" on vacations around the world, on cruise ships and to exotic destinations. Terry's gift of sincerity and listening skills garnered long lasting personal relationships with his friends and in his industry across the nation. Known as the brother who could not tell a lie to save his soul, Terry's journey through life was inspiring to many.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Diana DeMander CoryeIl, Randy Stemper, Michael Farrell, David Heick and Jaymi Van Zant for their unbounded love and support during his battle with cancer.

He is survived by his daughter Sadie Marie Lane and granddaughter Isabella Lane of Tillamook, mother Patricia Conner of Gearhart, sister Jill and husband Mark of Phoenix, brothers; Jack of Gearhart, Thomas and wife Kathy of Portland, Bruce and wife Suzie of Astoria; nieces & nephews: Dusty Siller and Husband John, Jami Van Zant and husband Greg, Angie Teanio and husband Kala', Noah Ross, Aja Ross, Isaac and Ryan Conner. Plus great nephews and nieces, Cody, and Jaycee Siller, Caitlyn, Saydi and Kelsey Van Zant, Kameha and Aili Kai Teanio and Talan Ross.

He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Conner and brother Kevin. Terry passed at 7:58am, just in time for his 8:ooam tee time in heaven with his father and brother.
