Ned Sadler
Funeral services for Ned Sadler, 90, a retired Illinois Central railroad brakeman and porter, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Payne Methodist church.
The Rev. J.W. Collins, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
Mr. Sadler died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday of a heart ailment at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jane Thornton, 209 Bates street. He was born May 1, 1861, at College Hill, Miss., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Sadler.
He came to Waterloo in 1937 and has continued to live here since.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Charles and Eben of Chicago; Robert of New York City, and three daughters besides Mrs. Thornton. They are Mrs. Evelyn Reddick and Mrs. Nedra Wells, Detroit, Mich., and Miss Marjorie Sadler, 209 Bates street.
Mr. Sadler was a member of Paynes Methodist church for many years and an honorary member of the Cedar Valley 426 IBPOEofW.
The body is at Kistner’s fuenral home.
