Jim Jones, 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Bowie, Texas. He was born on August 3, 1934 in New Hope, Ark., the son of Tom and Mary Jones.
He was a long-haul truck driver and was known to others as Booger-picker. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He relished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Edna Jane; and sisters, Minnie Doan and Nell Webster.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Manford West of Bowie, Texas and Rhonda and Earl Hernandez of Ranger, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Becky Jones of Idabel; sister and brother-in-law, Ami and Bill Bookout of Idabel; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Canfield Cemetery with Pastor Larry Kennedy.
