UNKNOWN PAPER - JANUARY 1981

RICHARD HEPTER - Tatamagouche - Richard HEPTER, 18, was killed about 7:30 a.m. Jan. 17 when struck by an overhead door at the North Shore Recreation Centre. An employee at the Rec. Centre, HEPTER was killed when the overhead door broke loose and struck him on the head as he was opening the arena for the day. Born in Toronto, he was a son of Donelda (MacKENZIE) and the late Herbert HEPTER. He was a Grade 11 student in North Colchester High School. He was a member of the Wentworth Rifle Club. He is survived by his mother, a sister Camille; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Rosa HEPTER, Austria, and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mabel HARNER, Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by his grandfathers. Service was held Jan. 20 in Sharon United Church, Rev. Gordon MATHESON officiating, assisted by Rev. Donald MacLEOD and Rev. Kenneth ROBINSON. Burial in Lockerby Cemetery.
