Richard G. Morgan, of Chinchilla, died Monday in the V.N.A. Hospice Unit at Community
Medical center, Scranton, after a courageous battle with Lymphoma. He was preceded in
death by his wife the former Frances Schack Morgan, who died in 1978.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Thomas and Doris Higham Morgan, he was a life long
resident of the Abington area. He was educated in Clarks Summit Schools. He graduated in
1948 and then attended Lackawanna Jr. College.

He served his country in the Air Force for
four years. Serving in Panama, Puerto Rico, Cheyene Wyoming, and Aberline Texas. Upon
returning home he was employed as an Accountant and Personnel Deptment Manager for the
Scranton Lace Co. For over forty Years.

He was a strong and gentle man of few words who will be admired and remembered forever
in the hearts of his friends and family for his honor and dedication. He kept his family
and children all together after the untimely passing of his wife Frances.

He has been a long time sportsman and has enjoyed hunting with his sons and training
field trail dogs. He was an active member and officer of the Southern Tier Beagle Club
for fifteen years.

Since his retirement from the Scranton Lace Co. in 1995, he has enjoyed baseball and
football and traveled on many trips across the country to hunt in the mountains of
Colorado. He has been enjoying his grandchildren and relaxing at home and playing with
his begales Tim and Josh.

Special thanks and appreciation to all of the great people who cared for our father from
CMC VNA Hospice, Mountain View Care Center, and Hematology Oncology of NEPA.

Surviving are three daughters, Amy Morgan; Chinchilla, Susan Heiner; Clark,Co., and Karen
Suchniak, Jessup, Two sons John Morgan; Pittsburgh and David Morgan; Scranton, eight
grandchildren, Laura, Jessica, Emily, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Brian, Amanda, and David Jr., three
great grandchildren, Peyton, Braden, and Brayden, many nieces, nephews ,and cousins, and
long time companion Eva Foss, N. Scranton.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11 am from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home,
418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, with services by Ken Knelly. Interment Abington Hills
Cemetery. Friend may call Thursday from 9am until time of service.
