In 1799 came from Poplin, NH and bought a 150 acre farm, with buildings thereon, on South Road from Joshua Johnson. Remained in Smith family for three generations, until 1875 and was later owned by Fred and Amy Packard. Packard Shores development is now a part of this farm. Enoch, his son and grandson ran a sawmill on Beaver Brook.
