Professional Baseball Player. He played second base and shortstop for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1930 to 1932, using his earnings to help pay for medical school. After retiring from sports he practiced as a gynecologist in Miami for more than 25 years. At the time of his death, Groskloss was baseball's oldest living former major leaguer.
