Norma Fitzgerald, 89, of Bourbonnais passed away Tuesday morning, July 21.

She was a devoted daughter and sister, and a loving wife and mother who blended affection, wisdom, humor, and good example in the highest degree.

She was born August 10, 1925 in Herscher, Illinois, the oldest child, daughter of Leo Denault and Derrilda Legris Denault of St. James Parish, Irwin.

In November, 1947, she married James Fitzgerald, who preceded her in death on February 7, 2006..

With her husband she was the devoted parent of seven children and for many years a leader in the Christian Family Movement in the parish of St. Patrick in Kankakee and in the parish of St. Joseph in Bradley. She will be missed deeply, but her example and her memory will be cherished by and continue to inspire all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Dr. James Fitzgerald of Providence, RI, (wife Dr. Palmira Brummett), daughters Leanne Koonce of Phoenix, AZ, (husband Frank Koonce), Maureen Ducat of Ashkum (husband Leroy Ducat), Joan Mailloux of Bourbonnais (husband David Mailloux), Angela Parilac of Lowell, IN, (husband Michael Parilac), Dianne Klimchuk of Bourbonnais (husband John Klimchuk), Sharon Clark of Bourbonnais (husband Glenn Clark), nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brother Ivan Denault of Herscher and sister, Romella Saindon of Manteno.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, and younger brothers Delmar and Francis.

She rests now in peace, but lives forever in spirit.
