Of Plymouth. Preceded in death by his parents Hjalmer and Olga Hoff, and sister Alice (Kilen). Jim was a graduate of Minneapolis Central HS and served his country as a navy aerial photographer on a carrier in the East Pacific. After his service, Jim attended the University of Minnesota where he was a member of the Silver Spur Society, and served as an officer of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity. After graduating with a business degree, he joined Dayton's as a buyer in linens.
