Sara Beth Newkirk Ross,78,of Denison, Texas passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015.

Sara was born February 11,1937 at Elk City, Kansas to A. C. and Mary Virginia Conkright Newkirk. She was preceded in death by her parents and son David Paul Sanders; step son Terry Eugene Ross ;sister-in-law Annette Newkirk and brother-in-law Gerald Broyles. She is survived by her Husband Ralph Dale Ross; son Howard Dwight Sanders and wife Linda of Silt, Colorado; daughter Cynthia Sanders of Dewey, Oklahoma; brothers Allen Cecil Newkirk of Independence, Kansas and James Lemuel Newkirk and wife Karen of Flagstaff, Arizona; sister Mary Ann Broyles of Eureka, Kansas; step son R. Dale Ross and wife Debbie of Katy, texas, step daughter Laura Irene Crockett of Magnolia, Texas; grandsons Robert Dwight Sanders, Travis Allan Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Paul Dixie Sanders and wife Devin, Joseph and Randy Davis of Dewey, Oklahoma; step grandchildren Shannon Dale Ross of Shreveport, Louisiana, Robert Alexander Ross of Katy, Texas, Christina Elaine Crockett, Derrick Crockett of Magnolia, Texas and Travis Dale Ross of Katy, Texas; four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nephews and nieces and cousins.

Sara was educated in the Havana, Kansas education system, having attended there from third grade due to early life health issues and her Mother being a teacher at Havana. Sara served on the Student Council and lettered in basketball and sang in high school choruses. She attended Draughn Business School in Kansas City, Missouri and was employed later at Cities Service Oil Company. When they moved their offices out of town, she then became employed at Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesvile, Oklahoma in Key punch, later transferring to petroleum products group where she was responsible for arranging transfer moves for employees. She served in this capacity until her retirement in 1992. She married Ralph Dale Ross in 1993.
Sara was a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Denison, Texas. She dearly loved the Lord and looked forward to being with him in Heaven.

Funeral services will be at Parkside Baptist Church in Denison, Texas with graveside services at Havana, Kansas.
