Cornelia Faye Stewart passed from this life on Sunday July 19, 2015 at age 88. She went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long battle with dementia. Born August 19, 1926 in Sallisaw, OK, settling in Oakdale, CA in 1954 where she and husband John Stewart resided and raised their three children.
She was an active member of the Baptist Missionary Church and a dedicated member of the Ladies weekly quilting and bible study group. As of 2005 she made her home at Vintage Faire Residential in Modesto, CA and was the unofficial door greeter.
She is preceded in death by her husband John R. Stewart, sister Leona Edgemon, brother Famous Byers. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Gloria) Stewart, Charlene Beebe, Randy (Tammie) Stewart, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery Friday 24th at 10 a.m.
