Kenneth Cohen, 87, of Mecca, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at Harrison's Crossing in Terre Haute. Born March 19, 1934, he was the son of Hezzie and Thelma Cohen. He married Kay Von Carroll on April 24, 1971. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2011.
Kenny graduated from Mecca High School and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Hercules / AET in Terre Haute. He was a member of American Legion Post #140 in Clinton.
He is survived by 4 daughters, Barbara Shannon, Carolyn Nelson, Libby Falls (Terry), and Kendra Cohen Cook (Ryan Barney); 14 grandchildren, Marcy Walton, Shane Mercer, Sarah Vore, Megan Nelson Baker, Vaugh Price, Macey Rafter Norris, Dalton Rafter, Seth Falls, TJ Hinkle, Gracie Cook, Gage Cook, Boone Barney, Jakob Barney, and Nathan Barney; 16 great-grandkids. Also, surviving are his brother, Ronald Cohen; 2 Brothers-in-law, Gary Carroll and Ivan Carroll and several nieces and nephews.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay; son, Ryan Nelson; son-in-law, Adam Cook; and 8 siblings, Billie, Dixie, Nedra, Sharon, Victoria, Hezzie Jr., Keith and Kip.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 East High Street, Rockville, with Pastor Keith McIntyre officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial Will be in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville, Indiana with Military Graveside Rites by Parke County Veterans.
