Vera Louise Weeks Lang, 96, of Pascagoula, MS., (formerly of Magnolia, MS) passed away on July 21, 2015 at the Plaza Community Living Center in Pascagoula.
Visitation will be Saturday July 25, 2015 from 10 AM until service at 12 Noon at the East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia. Rev. Billy Ray Simmons will officiate and burial will be in the East Union Cemetery. Hartman Funeral Home of McComb will be in charge of arrangements.
Vera was born March 25, 1919 in Barlow, MS. She was the daughter of the late, Allison F. Weeks & Florence B. Weeks.
Vera was a member of the East Union Baptist Church and a loving Mom, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hollis T. Lang; two sisters, 2 brothers, son-in-law, Allen Parnell and a grandson, Timothy Lang.
She is survived by her son and his spouse, Hollis L. “Roy” and Kathleen Williams Lang of Moss Point and by her daughter Sherry Lang Parnell of Southhaven, MS; 5 grandchildren, David Lang (Gloria), Mark Lang (Marcia), Ben Lang (Jessica), Bert Parnell (Charlotte) and Cindy Parnell (Jake); 11 great-grandchildren, Savannah Lang, Camden Lang, Loudan Lang, Phoenix Lang, and Anabelle Lang, Emily Parnell, Will Parnell, Drew Parnell, Ally Parnell, Grayson Parnell, and Allen Jacob McRae with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bert Parnell, Jake McRae, Mark Lang, Ben Lang, James Hucabee, and Billy Morgan.
