Evan Jones, 35 of Columbia, passed away the morning of July 20, 2015. A memorial Mass will be held in his honor at 6:30pm Friday, July 24, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church in Columbia, MO.
Evan was born July 18, 1990 to David and Maggie Hoban Jones in Columbia, MO. Growing up in Columbia he graduated from Hickman High School, and then went on to earn his associated degree at Full Sale College in Orlando, Florida.
For the past five years he worked alongside his family at Jones Belltone Hearing and Audiology. Evan was avid athlete, writer, musician, graphic designer, and all around Renaissance man. He co-founded the St. Louis Gatekeepers Men's Flat Track Roller Derby League and participated in the sport as a player, coach, and administrator. He approached these and all of his endeavors with focus and dedication. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
Memorials can be contributed to Wyatt's fund, a foundation to help families with autistic children.
Evan is survived by his parents; sister: Monica Ann Jones of Georgia; Aunt: Ann Hoban of Columbia; Uncles: Clarence (Jim) Jones of Jefferson City, Sam Frink of Herman, and Michael Hoban of Jacksonville, FL; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Michael (Monica) Hoban and Dean (Beverly) Jones; and an aunt: Missy Frank
