Katherine Ann Cooper, age 72, of Fairview, Texas, passed away July 20, 2015. Katherine was born August 25, 1942, in Paris, Texas, to John and Ladell (O’Daniel) Clay. She married James Thomas Cooper in 1971 in Plano, Texas. Katherine was a dedicated elementary school teacher for thirty years in Plano. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, the Plano Retired Teachers Association, and a lifetime member of the P.T.A.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Shannon of Fairview, Texas; son, Seth Shannon and wife, Carrie of Rockwall, Texas; grandson, Ren Shannon; sisters, Shirley Taylor of Paris, Texas and Mary Derx and husband, Tad of Plano, Texas; brother, Johnny Clay also of Paris; and granddogs, Danica, Lola, and Chepe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
