WISE, Va. Bobbie Pauline Adkins, 85, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at home after an extended illness with dementia. She was a member of Trinity Life Center Church. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years, Doug Adkins; four daughters, Debbie Estep and husband, Roger, Phyllis Mullins and husband, Jimmy, Paula Akers and husband, David, and Connie Roberts and husband, Van; one son, Jeff Adkins and wife, Teresa; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank caregivers Kathy Mullins and Pam Hensley and the Hospice & Palliative Care in Norton, Va. Funeral services for Bobbie Pauline Adkins will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, Va., with the Rev. Faye Poff officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, Va. Burial will be held in the Wise Cemetery.
