Gano Crum, 71-year-old Greene County farmer, died Sunday, Jan. 13 at Boyd Hospital in Carrollton, where he had been a patient one week.
Mr. Crum was born in Greene County Sept. 8, 1908, son of Curtis J. and Edith Gano Crum. He married Lucy Cox Sept. 8, 1931. She survives with these children: Mrs. James (Lucille) Grizzle, East Alton; Mrs. Terry (Janet) Bateman, Bethalto; and Daniel Crum, White Hall. There are five grandchildren.
A sister, Mildred Billings of Roodhouse, and a brother, Roderick Crum of Peoria, survive. One brother and one sister preceded in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m.., at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, Carrollton. Music was furnished by Beverly Howard, organist.
The services were conducted by Rev. Alfred S. Eastin, pastor of the White Hall First Baptist Church, and interment was in the White Hall Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Robert Henneberg, Ethan Cox, James Ridings, Don Beckroft, Darrell Dellitle and Norman Billings.
