BANGOR & MILLINOCKET - Vera Blanch Ethier, 83, wife of Antoine Ethier, went home to be with the Lord, May 30, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Cumberland Bay, New Brunswick, Canada, Feb. 6, 1920, the daughter of Beverly and Elizabeth (Patterson) Ferris. Vera loved spending time with her family, camping and keeping her home extra special. In addition to her husband of 45 years, Antoine, she is survived by four children, Phyllis Read and her companion Dwain Quinn of Brewer, David Larlee and his wife Ramona of Milford, Eugene Larlee and his wife Rita of Millinocket, and Mary Shedd and her husband Derward of Millinocket; 13 grandchildren, Mary Steward of Alpine CA, Judith Pelkey of Glenburn, Chantal Shaw of Portland, David Larlee, Jr., of VA, Eddie Larlee of Fairfield, CA, Lynn Harley of VA, Kevin Larlee of CA, Sarah Jandreau of East Millinocket, Nancy Grant of East Millinocket, Shelly Blaisdell of East Millinocket, Leana Larlee of TN, Tammy Millette of Biddeford and Kathy Shedd of Bangor; a sister Alta Trecartin of St John NB; a brother, Blake Ferris of St. John NB; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends, especially her church family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ernest Larlee and two brothers, Belmore Ferris and Arnold Ferris.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-8 p.m. Monday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tri-Town Baptist Church, East Millinocket, with Pastor Todd Bell officiating. Interment will be in East Millinocket Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Tri Town Baptist Church Chair Fund, P O Box 427, East Millinocket, ME 04430.
