She was born January 2, 1931 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Albert and Gladys E. Burton Arnold.
On November 8, 1947, JoAnn married Robert Lee Sangberg in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married for 66 years. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2014.
She worked for the Weber County School District as a school cook, as well as Aurbachs Department Store in downtown Ogden. She was an avid golfer with two holes-in-one to her credit. Life was not nearly as fun when she unable to golf anymore. She loved to travel, visit with family, and occasionally play the slot machines.
JoAnn is survived by three children, Scott Lee (Stephanie) Sangberg, Pleasant View; David A. (Becky) Sangberg, Brigham City; Deborah Ann (Kelly) Kruger, Chandler, WY; seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Arnold, Pleasant View; two sisters, Gail Armenta, Karla Morgan; and brother-in-law, Richard Sangberg.
Private family graveside services will be held.
