Services were held today at the M. E. church at Enterprise, in memory of Thomas Shugart Watson, aged 78, who died at his home there Monday after a long illness. Rev. M. I. Harding officiated and interment was in the Cheney cemetery.
The deceased was better known to his wide acquaintance as "Shug" Watson, and he was a son of Hatton and Sinia Watson. He was born at Shamburg on December 21, 1853, and at Meadville on September 22, 1891, he was united in marriage with Miss Emma Alice Cheney, who survives him with the following children: Mrs. A. A. Luke, of Pineville, and C. H. Watson, of Titusville. There is also one sister, Mrs. Matilda Flowers, of Oil City, and a brother, King Watson, of Shamburg.
