Mr. Bryant worked in the hardware business for 26 years and 23 years as a Southampton County Deputy Sheriff. He was a member of Vincent’s Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Donald L. Bryant of Courtland and Garland “Mac” Bryant (Patty) of Franklin; one sister, Maxine Davie of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Truman Bryant of Sedley, L. A. Bryant of Norfolk, and Clayton Bryant of Courtland; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Book officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, July 22, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
