Her marriage to Michael Burroughs was June 20, 1974, in Royal Oak.
Marilyn was an Oak Park High School graduate. She returned to St. Clair County Community College later in life where she earned her associates degree in management and business and a certificate in marketing in 2009.
Marilyn moved to Croswell in the early 1980’s where she raised her children and lived until the past few years. She worked for Dean Foods for many years formerly known as Aunt Janes and then for Sanilac County Humane Society where she was an office manager.
Marilyn enjoyed working on her computer at home, listening to music and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and her pet cat, “Dieter”.
Surviving are:

……Sharon Reeves of Tennessee and
……Norissa Burroughs of Lexington;
…four grandchildren,
……Nathan (fiancée, Shelby Cunningham) Burroughs,
……Logan Reeves,
……Devin King and
……Jasmine King;
…siblings,
……Larry (Betty) Steiner of Florida and
……Renee Steiner Hinkins of West Bloomfield,
…as well as two nieces, two nephews
…and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Wendy Burroughs.
