He is predeceased by his grandmother, Virginia Smith, his parents, his son, Jonathan Bolden, and grandson Sean Bolden.
He is survived by his two sons Joseph Jr. and Javaron Bolden. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Christian, Brittany, Chelsea, Eddie, and Javaron, Jr.
Joe Bolden was a graduate of Joseph S Clark Senior High School, and attended church at St Paul. He was a veteran of the US Navy, and honorably served his country during the Korean War.
He also loved fishing, and in earlier years could be found out on his boat daily. He was an avid supporter of his beloved New Orleans Saints, and an active member of the Knights of St. Peter Claver and the Outsiders Social and Pleasure Club. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
He was known and loved for his wit and keen sense of humor which endeared him greatly to his grandchildren and everyone he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends of family are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial, at Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Ave.
Interment: Providence Cemetery.
