MR. W. J. CAMPBELL
F.A. AUCKLAND, December 4. Mr. William J. Campbell, chairman of the Auckland Education Board and a former probation officer in Auckland, collapsed in the street and died about midday. Mr. Campbell entered the Police Force in 1897, and.transferred to the Justice Department, Auckland. He was always keenly interested in education.
