Dwight “Shannon” Richardson, 39, of Bassett, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Shannon was born in Martinsville on October 1, 1975 to Dwight Richardson and Virginia Ann Watkins Richardson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sterling Foy and Ella Mae Richardson and James Oscar Watkins.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Beth Wright Richardson; daughters, Autumn Nicole Coates and Megan Paige Richardson; grandson, Preston James Roy Coates; sister, Angie Wells and maternal grandmother, Betty Watkins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 pm at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Delmas Rorrer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
