NORFOLK - Thomas J. Ackerson, 55, of 9630 Hammett Pkwy., a native of Mahwah, N.J., died Monday.
Mr. Ackerson served in the Navy for over 25 years. He was a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Ann Milan Ackerson; his mother, Dorothy Quackenbusch Ackerson of Norfolk, a son, William Jay Ackerson of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a brother, Frank J. Ackerson of Dublin, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Tiwford's Ghent Chapel by Lieutenant John Pope. Burial with military rites will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
