THEODORE A. DOHR

Theodore A. (Ted) Dohr, 79, of 2116 Washington Street, Two Rivers, died Sunday morning, Nov. 20, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Robert Rhyner will be the celebrant. Concelebrants will be the Rev. Donald Marquardt, Rev. Lawrence Stengel, and Rev. James Stamborski. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.(sic)

Mr. Dohr was born April 8, 1904 at Chilton, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Catherine Wettestine Dohr. He attended Barber College in Milwaukee in 1920 and 1921. He then came to Two Rivers in 1922. Mr. Dohr worked for Fred Ollendorf until opening the Modern Barber Shop in 1933. Mr. Dohr was a member of the County Board of Supervisors for 20 years, chairman of the Highway and Finance committees, member and past exalted ruler of the Two Rivers Elks Lodge, member and past president of the Two Rivers Lions Club, member and past president of the Two Rivers Jaycees, member of the Two Rivers Eagles Club, Two Rivers Senior Citizens, Two Rivers Knights of Columbus, and the Coast Guard Auxilary.

Surivovrs include his wife, the former Rachael Ahrens, two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and John Pappes of New Jersey, and Kathleen and Robert Seder of Milwaukee; three brothers, Noman Dohr of Stockbridge, and Joseph and Sam Dohr of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Matthew (Margaret) Hahn of Wauwautosa, and Mrs. Thomas (Marie) Boyle of Colorado; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, three sisters, and a brother.

Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home from 4 p.m. on Tuesday. There will be an Elks Memorial service at 6:30 p.m., and a Parish Memorial Service at 7 p.m. with the Two Rivers Knights of Columbus participating in this service.

Memorials can be sent to the Heart and Lung Association.
