Mrs. George Bernhardt, 69, of 3517 Tannery Rd., Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning at Two Rivers municipal Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. A.L. Schmeling officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery. Mrs. Bernhardt, nee Agnes Dvorak, was born June 19, 1900, at Shoto, a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Sladkey Dvorak. She was married to George Bernhardt Oct. 30, 1923, at St. John Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. After the marriage, the couple farmed at Rt. 1, Two Rivers, until retiring in 1964 and moving into Two Rivers. Mrs. Bernhardt was a member of the Ladies aid of Our Savior Church. She leaves her husband and a sister, Mrs. Otto J. Sporer, of Rt. 1, Mishicot. Friends may call at the Klein and Stangel, Inc., Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Thursday until 10:30 a.m. Friday when the body will be taken to the church where it will lie in state from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Marriage of George/Agnes Bernhardt

The marriage of Miss Anna Dvorak of the Town of Two Rivers and George William Bernhardt of this city, was solemnized at St. Johns Lutheran Church at 10 oclock Tuesday morning. Rev. W.G. Haase performed the ceremony in the presence of many friends and relatives of the couple. Miss Martha Ihlenfeldt and Henry W. Dvorak were the attending couple. The event was duly celebrated at the home of the bride's parents where the guests gathered after the ceremony and a sumptuous dinner was served. The couple departed on a honeymoon sojourn via boat to Michigan and will return by rail. Guests from our of town included Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shimek, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Sladkey, Lena and Addie Sladkey,, Mr. and Mrs. John Rick, Mr. and Mrs. George Sladkey, all of Manitowoc ; Mr. and Mrs. Ad. Dvorak, Mrs. A. Ihlenfeldt of Mishicot, Wenzel Sykora, Frank Pivonka and Mrs. Edwin Sykora of Tisch Mills. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bernhardt, 1511 Twenty-Second Street and the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Dvorak, well known farmers of the Town of Two Rivers.
