She was a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was retired from Omega Plastic (formerly Union Camp). She also worked part time at Wakefield Scearce Gallery.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years John Harris, Shelbyville; daughter, Wanda Jones, Shelbyville; sons, Walter Harris (Angela), Shelbyville; Anthony Harris (Cynthia), New York; daughter, Cassandra D. Harris Gray (Kilen), Shelbyville; son, Timothy D. Harris (Michelle), Shelbyville; caregiver/nephew, Keith Harris, Shelbyville; sister, Barbara L. Marshall (Charles), Shelbyville; brother, John Hughes (special cousin), Lexington, 25 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Clay Street Baptist Church with Rev. Kilen Gray officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, July 22nd at the Clay Street Baptist Church.
