Eleanor Kemp Fry Decker, daughter of Anna Ayer Fry and Wilfred Washington Fry, granddaughter of Francis Wayland Ayer, the founder of N.W.Ayer and Sons and Meridale Farms, died on Friday, Dec. 5 in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y. She was 94. Randall Hunt Decker Jr., her husband of 54 years, passed away in 1991, and her eldest son, Randall III, predeceased her as well. A graduate of the Emma Willard School and Vassar College, class of 1937, she was an accomplished pianist and devoted mother of four. She is survived by her daughter, Susan D. Hendricks of Nyack NY, two sons, Thomas Wilfred Decker of Chicago, and Kenneth Fry Decker of Gladwyne Pa., grandsons David and Samuel Hendricks, and Gary, Andrew, and Michael Decker, and seven great-grandchildren. Contributions in her memory may be may be sent to the Andrus Retirement Community in Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y., where she received exceptional care. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
